Help & support
Write to support@splitsetter.com. A person reads every message.
How do I move to a new phone?
First, on the old phone, open your profile and tap "Link e-mail", then confirm the address from the email we send you. You can also continue with Apple or Google instead. This turns the identity on your phone into an account you can sign in to again.
On the new phone, install Splitsetter and sign in the same way. Your groups and expenses come back.
I lost my phone before linking an email. Can I get my groups back?
Your identity can't be restored. Until you link an email address, it lives only on that phone, and we have no copy of it to give back.
Your groups with other people are still there, with everything recorded in them. Ask someone in the group to invite you again, and join from the new phone. A group that only you were in is gone with the old phone.
The invite didn't arrive, or it has expired
Check the spam folder first. An invite link works for seven days.
To send a new one, open your friend's profile in the group and tap "Resend invite". You don't have to use email: the invite screen also has "Copy Link" and "Share", and a QR code your friend can scan.
Can I bring my history from another app?
Yes. Export the group as a CSV file from the other app first. Then, in Splitsetter, open the group's settings, tap "Import expenses (CSV)" and pick the file.
"Export expenses (CSV)" in the same place gives you a copy of a group's expenses as a spreadsheet.
How do I get a copy of all my data?
Write to support@splitsetter.com and we send you everything we hold about you, in a machine-readable form.
How do I delete my account?
Open your profile in the app and tap "Delete account". If you have linked an email address, we email you a link to confirm, and you open it on the same device. If you haven't, type DELETE to confirm and the account is deleted at once.
If you no longer have the app, write to support@splitsetter.com from the email address linked to the account, and we delete it for you.
Deleting an account works the same in every case: your email address, photo, and payment details are removed, and your name on past expenses becomes "Former member" for the other people in your groups. The groups themselves stay with their other members.
How do I report a bug or abuse?
Write to support@splitsetter.com. For a bug, tell us what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps.
To report something someone else posted in Splitsetter, write to the same address. You don't need an account to do it.
